      In line with the conclusions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) at its 28th session, a meeting under the dialogue on research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention, which is taking place under the SBSTA in the context of decision 9/CP.11, was chaired by the Chair of the SBSTA.  
           
      Contributions from international and regional research programmes and organizations active in climate change research, as well as the IPCC, included presentations on recent emerging scientific findings, on-going and planned activities by the research community in response to the key priorities identified in the IPCC AR4, research capacity-building activities and activities undertaken in the context of the Nairobi work programme, among others. The presentations were followed by discussions with Parties.
