In line with the conclusions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) at its 28th session, a meeting under the dialogue on research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention, which is taking place under the SBSTA in the context of decision 9/CP.11, was chaired by the Chair of the SBSTA. |

Contributions from international and regional research programmes and organizations active in climate change research, as well as the IPCC, included presentations on recent emerging scientific findings, on-going and planned activities by the research community in response to the key priorities identified in the IPCC AR4, research capacity-building activities and activities undertaken in the context of the Nairobi work programme, among others. The presentations were followed by discussions with Parties. |
